Gosh! I had been so busy with my life that I didn’t have time to blog. I miss going online and type type type. Well, we are currently changing our carpets to hardwood flooring and it’s not easy, I tell you. When we started last Sunday, Rodney was so frustrated that he hit the floor and smashed a plank. It’s so aggravating. We watched videos before we planned on doing it on our own, but on the videos, it’s so easy, but in reality, grrrr!
When we talked about doing our dining, living room and hallway to be hardwood flooring, we thought that it’s only at least 300 square footage, but like what Rodney said, he underestimate the size of this area. It’s actually 520 sq. ft. We first picked the cheapest we can get, but we were told that since we have lots of kids that can spill liquid on the floor, we might as well go with the mid class, it costs a little more, but it will last us longer.
So, we started doing the dining area on Monday (glad that my FIL helped us. day) , today (Tuesday) was the living room, and the hallway would be on Wednesday. After doing this, we will start putting our old carpet downstairs and so on and so forth. Just the thought of all the work that is awaiting me, I am already tired.
We cannot afford to hire someone to do this for us. It will cost us $1/sq. ft if we have it done by a professional, $520 for labor? Nah, we will do it and don’t mind the hard work.
I will take pictures after we are done with the whole upstairs, so I can show you our hard work, ahhhh! Now I am going to sleep, coz tomorrow, I have to strip out the carpet from the hallway, and clean it and lay out some wood planks. wish me luck.
Have a great day to all.

Hi Mommy Liz! Parang na-i-imagine ko na nga kung gaano kapagod niyan… But isipin mo na lang siguro na how good your floors would look afterward, di ba, hehe. Anyway, wish you luck! Can't wait to see the results. Have a great week!
