For this week’s Nostalgia, I would like to post this picture. This was taken when I was in college, it’s my sister’s birthday, her handa was coke and bread. This was our humble house, we were super poor. Every time I see this picture, I can’t help but wonder..how did we survive. When it rains, our pots weren’t enough to catch all the rain drops coming from the roof. We didn’t have beds, we didn’t even have table to dine in. our couch was falling apart that it was missing a leg. our floor was broken cement. we only invite our personal friends during occasion because we were embarrassed, but what choice did we have?
Why was our life so difficult way back then? But know what? we might be lack of material things, but we were happy as a family. My dad and mom were around and life was simple. Now, I am here in the US, my mom is here, but my siblings are in the Philippines, having hard life, tsk! . see, I am being nostalgic again, oh well!!!

Kmai nga Liz mas mahirap pa sa daga lol. I experienced eating just gulay kasi we can't afford bumili ng bigas wahhh.. But kahit ganun ang pinanggalingan natin ang sarap balik balikan diba?
Buti nga kayo may coke at tinapay lol. Alam mo ba naghanda ako ng bday for the first time nung asawa ko na si John hahaha..
Thanks for taking me with you down memory lane.. I am enjoying this meme, I hope you do too.
That is a very inspiring nostalgia you got, Liz. We may be so poor before but we'll survive when our family are so close to each other.
God always there to provide the rest mommyliz, hirap talaga buhay sa atin ano, but we pinoy always thanksful of the little things we get now matter how difficult the life is. Look at you now, you became a better person and know a lot about life because of your experiences. Thanks for sharing mommyliz, nakakabagbag damdamin.
I think mas okay na yung mag-start tayo na medyo hirap sa buhay kasi it will inspire us to improve our situation.
Thanks for dropping by my Nostalgia post.

ganda ng post. ganyan talga ang buhay pero meron pang mas naghihirap sa atin. Just count the blessings, having family and all in good health are more than enough to be thankful for. kahit anong mangyari, Life is good!
definitely God has plans for all of us… and He never gives us what we can't bear without Him!
sus! ano ba to? andito pa si jet at si jepoy. oy! miss ko yang silya na yan, tagal ng serbisyo sa tin, hehe… at ang study table na yan, nagseserbisyo pa kay kuya hen, hehe…
We are just thankful, kahit paano, hindi tayo pinabayan. We are just blessed with what has been provided to us, a good and better life.
Kami nag uulam ng asin at saging kasi wala pambili ng bigas.. I am always proud with humble beginnings, the reason why we strive hard..
Thanks for dropping by my blog Mommy Liz, your story is an inspiration
At least masaya and kumpleto, that is the only important girl, aanhin ba natin ang yaman if nd naman nag uusap ang mga tao doon, pero if we have those wealth pd na rin, who would not accept. Lol, I could also still remember I was in second grade and it was my bday ang handa namin that time too is benignit and a coke ay sus, ok lang since I know how to dance a little, I just showed my classmates how to dance the latest hit hahahaha
basta buo at masaya ang pamilya para ka na din mayaman.
There's no doubt…you are a strong woman, Liz
