Who would have thought that someone could learn knitting by going to the public library? That’s what I did. I signed up for one of those free classes for adults. My local library is always planning special programs and classes throughout the year. When I saw the flier advertising the free knitting class, I decided to give it a try. I had grown up watching my great aunt knit, but I never had the chance to try it myself. Anyway, I took the class and realized right away that knitting was for me.
I’ve been knitting for about three years, and I really like knitting sweaters and scarves. In the winter time, you’ll see me wearing these colorful sweaters that I’ve made myself. It’s pretty cool when someone asks me where I bought my sweater and I can tell them that I knitted it. Most people don’t know the first thing about knitting, so they are often amazed that I have the ability to do something so creative. It’s kind of a lost art.
Anyway, I really enjoy watching Satellite TV from directstartv.com while I knit. It’s a great way for me to unwind after a hard day of work, and I can just sit on the couch and knit my stresses away. It would be great if I could start my own business one day, knitting apparel for customers. I dream about selling my merchandise online or setting up a stall at a flea market.
