I am not sure why it is less for him or for us if we carry him through our insurance. I forgot to ask the reason. He basically gives us his share of insurance when he gets paid at McDonalds, so he has responsibility. He also have a cell phone that he pays at least $50 a month. He makes money working part time, but he only pays for something that he chose to have. Driving a car is a luxury for him. I can give him a ride if he needs to work, his work place is only 2 miles away from where we live. Did he really need a cell phone? I didn’t know what cell phone looks like until I came to this country. We still pay for his school stuff, buy his clothes, pay for everything. Kids need to know that if they choose to have luxury in life, they have to pay and work hard to get it.

“Money don’t grow on trees” was my husband’s favorite phrase when the kids always ask for toys. We need to teach them to be responsible. While they don’t have their money, whatever mommy and daddy can give, it will do. Once they get a job, they can buy whatever they want as long as their bills are paid. In my son’s case, he pretty much stick to his routine. Give me money for insurance twice a month and pay his cell phone every month, whatever he does with his money, (no matter ho many time I tell him to save for his future) it would be his business , especially now that he is an adult. He might still have a mind of a child, but he needs to realize that he is no longer a child. And pretty soon, mommy and daddy are not going to be with him, that he will be on his own..

Last night was our movie night, and this is what we watched. I thought I wasn’t going to like it, since I never seen the 2nd and the 3rd part. I seen the first one but I forgot the story, been a long time. When watching series like this, I want to start from the beginning to be able to comprehend the current story. Hubby promised that he will get me the first 3 and I will watch it again.

I love this movie, the action and the plot and since I love Kate Beckinsale, I watch every movie that she starred in. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, I recommend that you see it. It’s a good one..

Simply Me

My sister in law posted this old photo of my childhood and I thought it was so cute. I looked for the latest picture of myself and I put them together. I believe that I was around 4 years old when the YOUNG me was taken. and the OLD me was taken on February 14th, of the current year. We were about to go to my daughter’s Valentine lunch at school.

What, 36 years had passed between these 2 pictures and can you still see the resemblance? I can’t. I was also looking for some photos of my children if any of them would look like mwahhh!, I can’t find any. Aside from they are mixed race, they got their daddy’s handsomeness. I am not saying that I am ugly, all I am trying to imply is, they are more beautiful than yours truly

Lately though, I am doing really good. I guess because I set a goal which I will never reveal until it’s close to that time. For the meantime, I will enjoy my life as inexpensive as possible. Oppsss…didn’t I just purchase a Valentine gift for my husband? (actually I think I kind of bought it for the whole family..)which cost a little way over my budget. But, oh well..it’s an investment and besides, he works hard so he deserves nice thing. I remember last night that I told him what to give me for Valentines day. Either a computer chair, since mine is busted (I fell on the floor one night and my butt still hurts) or a headphone (I broke mine, because I got up and walked away without realizing that I had it on) or an Ipod (wohooo! I can listen to music while cleaning around the house, nice..) I told hubby that either one of those will be a great present from him. Knowing my husband, he will get me whatever I want as long as it’s practical and affordable. “The King of the Thrifty Clan.” But, no, I will take that back. He is not cheap, he is a smart shopper. And I love him for that..
